Volcanoes, Pole Shifts & Edgar Cayce: Are We Witnessing Earth’s Awakening?

Volcanoes, Pole Shifts, and the Evolution of Earth: A Reflection on Edgar Cayce’s Predictions

It must be the volcanic activity, solar flares, and recent spike in the Schumann resonance that have me wide awake since 1 AM this morning. Add to that a vivid dream I had of giant waves of water and fire filling the sky, and it’s hard not to wonder if we are witnessing the rumblings of something much larger stirring beneath and above us.

Recent volcanic activity around the globe feels like an urgent conversation between Earth and the cosmos. The eruption in Indonesia just yesterday, Kilauea’s ongoing eruption in Hawaii, and several other volcanoes currently awake and active remind me of the old prophecies — particularly those of Edgar Cayce.

Here’s a snapshot of the current volcanic landscape:

  • Kilauea, Hawaii: Ongoing eruption since December 23, 2024, with multiple episodes of lava fountaining.

  • Merapi and Semeru, Indonesia: Frequent incandescent avalanches and ongoing eruptions.

  • Villarrica, Chile: Strombolian activity, gas and ash emissions, and crater incandescence.

  • Mount Etna, Italy & Popocatépetl, Mexico: Both experiencing ongoing eruptions.

  • Lewotobi, Indonesia: Continuous lava flows and strombolian activity since late December.

  • Mount Spurr, Alaska: While not erupting yet, signs point to increased activity and potential for eruption in the coming months.

The Earth is restless, and perhaps, so are we.

Edgar Cayce and the Prophecy of the Pole Shift

In his many readings, Edgar Cayce — often called the "Sleeping Prophet" — spoke of Earth Changes as harbingers of great planetary transformation. He specifically warned of volcanic eruptions in the Mediterranean, Iceland, and the western United States as signs of a shifting axis and coming pole shift.

Cayce once responded to the question:
"What great change is to take place in the Earth in the year 2000 to 2001 A.D.?"
His answer:
"When there is the shifting of the poles; or a new cycle begins."

While mainstream science tells us that axial shifts occur very gradually over thousands or millions of years, Cayce's visions suggest a more spiritually timed, evolutionary shift — tied not just to geology, but to consciousness itself.

The Earth's axis, like a slowing top, wobbles in cycles. Some astronomers believe this precession of the equinoxes happens every 24,000 to 26,000 years — a cycle echoed in Hindu cosmology as a Brahma day. The Great Pyramid of Giza, according to Cayce, encodes these cycles, pointing toward past and future Pole Stars: Thuban (Ancient Egypt), Polaris (present), and Vega (future).

Shifting from Polaris to Vega would require a dramatic 51° axial tilt — a profound planetary adjustment. Yet Cayce did not predict this would happen overnight. He spoke of gradual, layered change — geological, societal, spiritual.

The Cosmic Dance of Renewal

As I lay in bed this morning — half-anxious, half-in-awe — I couldn’t help but feel that this immense planetary conversation mirrors my own internal process. Each time I go through a spiritual awakening, I clean my house top to bottom, rearrange my space, start new projects, and reconnect with new people. I believe Earth is doing the same — clearing, shifting, realigning.

These increasing volcanic activities, solar flares, and energetic surges are not random. They are signals. Whether they mark the threshold of Cayce’s pole shift or simply another step in Earth’s ongoing evolution, they invite us to tune into deeper levels of consciousness.

As Cayce described, during this New Age, humanity may regain intuitive abilities and spiritual powers once lost — reminiscent of those held in ancient Atlantis and Lemuria. However, we must handle these gifts with wisdom and humility, learning from past mistakes of misuse.

What Can We Do?

It’s easy to get lost in fear or speculation. But I believe, deeply, that this is not a journey toward ruin, but toward evolution. The Earth is not dying — She is transforming. And so are we.

Here’s what I offer you:

  • Trust your intuition — Pay attention to your dreams, your inner knowing.

  • Stay connected to nature — The Earth’s rhythms will keep you grounded.

  • Do your inner work — As Earth rearranges Her outer landscape, we are invited to rearrange our inner world.

  • Be of service — Use your gifts to support others through this collective evolution.

  • Anchor in the Divine — Remember there is always a higher intelligence at play.

As Cayce said, “Only those who have been called may truly understand. Who then has been called? Whosoever will make him or herself a channel may be raised to a blessing....”

The Earth’s rearrangement mirrors our own spiritual housekeeping. We are not separate from Her. We are evolving together.
