TAROT PRIESTESS
A Mystical Guide to Archetype, Alchemy & Inner Sight
What might the cards reveal within you?
Tarot invites us into a language of symbols, stories, and archetypes—a way to explore our experiences and listen more closely to our inner knowing.
In Tarot Priestess, I share teachings, practices, and reflections that bring the cards to life as a path of intuitive development and self-inquiry.
In Tarot Priestess: A Mystical Guide to Archetype, Alchemy & Inner Sight, psychic medium and fourth-generation seer Lisa Gunshore invites you into the mystical art of Tarot as a living path of self-inquiry, intuitive development, and soulful transformation.
Blending ancient wisdom with modern insight, this guidebook offers more than just card meanings—it initiates you into the feminine mysteries of archetype, shadow, and spiritual evolution. From the roots of Tarot's history to the deep symbolism of the Major Arcana, from intuitive card scanning and timing techniques to mastering the Celtic Cross, each chapter is a portal into a richer, more embodied way of seeing.
Lisa’s own story—of spiritual awakening, ancestral gifts, and rediscovering the cards after a decade of silence—intertwines with potent teachings, meditative practices, and journaling prompts that awaken your inner priestess.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced reader, this book is a companion for your Tarot path—a path not of fortune-telling, but of soul remembering.
You are not just learning Tarot. You are becoming it.
about the book
THE TEACHING
The cards are an invitation to look within.
Tarot speaks through images, symbols, and archetypes. As we learn its language, the cards can become a way to reflect on our experiences, deepen our intuition, and explore the stories unfolding within us.
I wrote Tarot Priestess to share both the art of reading the cards and the personal journey that brought me back to them. Together, we’ll explore Tarot’s foundations, the Major and Minor Arcana, and practices for developing your own relationship with the cards.
Whether you’re new to Tarot or returning to an established practice, I invite you to approach the cards with curiosity, presence, and a willingness to listen.
Beneath the book is a question:
What might the cards reveal within you?

-
In my early twenties, I became obsessed with the esoteric. I read Tarot, practiced meditation, and studied spiritual teachings with intensity. But then I got married. I became a stepmom. I took on the full weight of adult responsibilities—juggling finances, navigating a career, holding everything together. And somewhere in that process, I fell asleep.
For over a decade, I didn’t read a card. I didn’t speak to Spirit. I didn’t even pray. I buried my gifts deep beneath the demands of the mundane.
Until one day, when everything inside me cracked open.
It was March of 2006. I was lost, searching, aching for meaning. And out of sheer desperation, I tore through boxes in my home until I found my old deck of Tarot cards. Worn and faded from those early years, they greeted me like long-lost friends. I pulled a card. Then another. Then another. I shuffled. I threw a spread. I didn’t know exactly what I was doing, but I knew one thing clearly: the cards were speaking to me again.
They said: It’s time to help others.

A moment to reflect
The images and archetypes of Tarot can invite us to see a familiar experience from a different perspective. You don’t need a deck—or any previous knowledge of the cards—to begin.
Take a moment to consider:
What chapter of your life are you living right now?
If this chapter were represented by an image or symbol, what might it look like? What feelings or questions would it hold?
What might that symbol invite you to notice about yourself?
You might sketch an image, write a few words, or simply sit with whatever comes to mind. Let your curiosity lead.
